Solutions – Trades and home services

When something’s leaking, people keep ringing until someone answers. Better that it’s you.

People call a tradesperson because something is leaking or won’t switch on, and usually just as you’re in someone else’s bathroom or up a ladder. The agent notes the address, the floor and what happened, then books a visit. If it’s urgent, it puts the call straight through to you.

The problem

Where the money slips away

Four situations in which this line of work most often loses a customer. You’ve probably had at least one this week.

Urgent and routine calls sound the same

People call about a burst pipe and a dripping tap in the same tone of voice. You tell us in advance what counts as urgent for you: water that won’t stop, a whole flat without power, a boiler gone out in the middle of winter. The agent puts a call like that straight through to you or messages you.

A visit can’t be booked to the minute

In your work nobody knows in advance how long a job will take. First you go and have a look, and only then do you start. So the agent books a call-out for as long as you’ve set aside for one, say “Wednesday, 10 to 12”, and notes the address and what’s wrong with the booking, so you don’t go in blind.

Everyone wants a price up front

“How much to move a one-bedroom flat, third floor, no lift?” The price depends on how much there is to move, how many floors and how far. The agent gives the price from your price list and books a visit to quote, or takes a message with the details, which reaches you by email straight away.

Missed calls wait until the evening

You’re out on jobs all day and return missed calls in the evening from the van, guessing which number was the one with the water heater. The agent picks up every call, and in your dashboard you see who called and what about. An urgent call also reaches you by email straight away.

Sample conversation

What it sounds like on the phone

An ordinary call, the kind you get on a Tuesday around noon.

Caller

Hello, there’s water coming from under my sink and the whole floor’s wet. Can you come today?

Nicra

Have you turned the water off? The valve under the sink or the main one.

Caller

I turned off the main one. It’s stopped, but now there’s no water in the whole flat.

Nicra

A plumber can come today, from 16:00 to 18:00. Tell me your address, the floor and your name.

Caller

Bulevar oslobođenja 12, third floor, flat 9. Zoran Marić.

Common questions

What people ask us most

How does the agent know what’s urgent?

From rules we set up together: what urgent means for you and which number the call goes to. Everything else gets the first free visit or comes to you as a message. The agent doesn’t explain over the phone how to fix the fault.

I work on my own. What do I get after a call?

In your dashboard you see, for every call, who rang, a short summary, the recording and the transcript. When a caller leaves a message, asks you to ring back or has something urgent, it also reaches you by email straight away. If a visit was booked, it’s already in your calendar.

Listen to a call you’d otherwise only return in the evening, from the van.

Call the demo agent from your browser, and on a short video call we’ll show you how we’d set it up for you. Then you can judge for yourself.
