Solutions – Schools, courses and lessons
Parents call after work, just as your lessons are starting.
“When does the next group start?” That question comes in while the driving instructor is sitting in the car with a learner and the English teacher is taking a class of pre-schoolers. The agent answers from what you’ve entered and books a trial lesson or a level test.

The problem
Where the money slips away
Four situations in which this line of work most often loses a customer. You’ve probably had at least one this week.
Enrolment comes in waves
September, January, the start of summer. Everyone enrols at the same time, and that’s just when you’re teaching most and have the least time to answer. The agent takes over the phone while you teach.
Try first, then enrol
Nobody pays for a whole course before trying it. The agent books a trial lesson or a level test, so the student ends up in a group that matches their level.
The price list, said out loud a hundred times
How much is it a month, how many children are in a group, from what age do you take them, is there a discount for siblings. It’s all on the price list, and still you say it over the phone for the umpteenth time.
Driving lessons keep moving
The learner is ill, the instructor is at a test with another learner, it’s snowing. Every change means another round of phone calls. The learner moves the lesson themselves through the link in the confirmation, and someone else can take the freed lesson straight away.
Sample conversation
What it sounds like on the phone
An ordinary call, the kind you get on a Tuesday around noon.
Hello, I’m asking about English for my daughter. She’s twelve.
For ages 11 to 13 the group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:30. Before enrolling there’s a short level test, half an hour, and it’s free. There’s Wednesday at 17:00 or Saturday at 10:00.
Saturday’s better, she has training during the week.
Saturday at 10:00, level test. What’s your name, and your daughter’s?
Ana Jović, and my daughter is Mila.

Common questions
What people ask us most
Can the agent enrol a child in a group by itself?
Not all the way. The agent books a trial lesson or a level test and notes the child’s and parent’s details. You confirm the place in the group, because only you know how many places are left and which group the child belongs in.
What if a learner driver asks about the test?
The agent tells them what you’ve entered: the price of the course, what’s needed to sign up and how booking the test works. If the answer depends on the learner, such as how many lessons they have left or when they’re taking the test, it takes a message for you.
